During this tour you will discover: The Imperial city of Marrakech, The High Atlas Mountains and their magnificent landscapes and panoramas, the Valleys of DRAA, ZIZ and DADES, made of a succession of gorges, Kasbahs, palm groves and the first huge dunes of “ ERG CHEBBI, on the borders of Sahara.
Day 1: Europe - Marrakesh
Welcome at your arrival to the airport of Marrakech. Transfer and check-in at the hotel
Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 2: Marrakesh - Tizzi-N-Tichka - Ait Ben Haddou
Heading for AIT BEN HADDOU, through the spectacular pass of TIZZI-N-TICHKA (at 2260m) and the typical mountainous landscapes of the High Atlas. Lunch on the way. While coming back from the pass, you will get to the Ksar of AIT BENHADDOU; an impressive brown red clay construction at the foothills of the Atlas mountains, the shooting scene for many famous films (Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiators).
Stay at the hotel in the Ksar of AIT BENHADDOU. You will take advantage of the evening to visit the Ksar at the time of sunset. Dinner and night
Day 4: Boulmane - Gorges du Todra - Merzouga
In the beginning of the day, drive to OUARZAZATE, visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, an ancient residence of Glaoui, and the Kasbah of Tiffoultoute, both located outside Ouarzazate. Departure to the valley of Dadès (following the famous road of Kasbahs) via the palm grove of Skoura and El Kalaa M’Gouna, the Moroccan capital of flowers, and then move to Boumalne, the gateway to the Gorges of Dadès. Discover the spectacular Gorges of Dadès. Lunch on the way.
Dinner and night at Boumalne de Dadès.
Day 4: Boulmane - Gorges du Todra - Merzouga
Departure to Tinghir, the gateway to the Gorges of Todra. Discover the Gorges and their vertiginous cliffs. Continue to Erfoud, Tourag and the famous dunes of Merzouga. Lunch on the way. Arrival to the camp in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset in the dunes. Dinner and night at the camp in the dunes. (A camp with real comfortable beds, 4 to 6 persons by tent and common shower room)
Day 5: Merzouga - Tazzarine - Zagora
Get up early in the morning to enjoy the magnificent sunrise on the dunes and go for a ride on camels. 4WD transfer back to Erfoud or Rissani, and continue through the desertic road on the Southern side of Djebel Ougnat to Tazzarine and the valley of Draa that we shall follow till Zagora, the gateway to the Sahara and the ancient city station for caravans. Dinner and night at Zagora
Day 6: Zagora - Valley of Draa - Marrakesh
Drive to Ouarzazate through the green valley of Draa, its palm groves, its pink laurel, its fruit farming and market gardening, and its numerous Kasbahs, before climbing the arid area of Tizzi-n-Tinififft (at 1660m). Dinner at Ouarzazate.
Return to Marrakesh in the afternoon driving back up the pass of Tizzi-n-Tichka.
Arrival in the late afternoon to Marrakech. Installation at the hotel. Dinner and night.
Day 7: Marrakesh
Meet your guide at the hotel at 9 am.
The morning is devoted to the visit of Marrakech, imperial city founded in 11 th century and the capital of the South Morocco. It extends in the plains to reveal, until late April, the astonishing scenery of the snowy summits of the Atlas Mountains in the horizon. This fascinating city will unveil to you the famous tombs of the Saadians (an ancient Moroccan Dynasty), Bahia Palace, the Minaret of Koutoubia, Jamaa el Fna , a place of exchange in the heart of the Medina, the Souks and the typical covered alleys and handicraft shops and retail merchants. Lunch during the visit.
Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 8: Return journey
Transfer to the airport of Marrakech for departure which we hope will be a temporary farewell.
